Ana-Marija Srejić

Audio Engineer/Producer/CEO

Ana-Marija is a versatile expert- she has high education in both the music ( Faculty of Music in Belgrade as a piano major) and audio engineering (Middlesex University London,). This made it easy for her to coordinate both technical and artistic aspects of the music recording. It all led to Ana-Marija opening R88 Studio, which perfectly encapsulates her skills and working methods. Since then, she collaborated with songwriters and musicians in creating phonorecords in various projects: multimedia projects, film trailers, animated films, live concerts, classical CD releases, opera recording as well as pop music production in more than 300 projects altogether. Ana-Marija collaborated with many esteemed musicians, namely Aleksandra Kovač, Kristina Kovač, Gorog Sisters Duo, Slobodan Marković, Yael Sayag, Wanzhe Zhang, Ratimir Martinović, David Binney, LP duo, Stray Dogg, primadonna Ljubica Vraneš… Years of independence in her studio and collaboration with all kinds of artists turned her into a great team leader, someone who ensures work efficiency without breaking the creative flow. At the moment, Ana-Marija is one of the rare active members of the Audio Engineering Society from Serbia.

Marko Ignjatović

Music Programmer/Composer

Marko began his musical journey as a guitarist and became a member of various alternative bands, such as Stray Dogg and Coucou, with which he still plays to this day. Early on, he started composing and immersed himself into the creative process. In 2015, all pieces fell into their place when he got curious about programming, arrangement, and editing. This newfound interest turned out to be Marko’s calling and he already has an admirable list of projects behind him. With lots of versatile experiences, Marko easily adapts to different genres of music and media formats. Some of his most notable projects are tv shows “Jutro će promeniti sve” and “Tate”, podcast “Agelast”, movie “Asimetrija”, animated movie “Svetlost i senke”, documentary movie “Susret”, and an episode of TED-Ed Riddles (S4E1) – Can you solve “Einstein’s Riddle?”

Srđan Savković

Assistant recording engineer

Music has always been a huge part of Srđjan’s life. It began with piano and guitar playing but led to a different direction – sound engineering. Srđan earned his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree at Middlesex University, London, UK. He started his professional career as a sound assistant and technician at Happy TV and TV B92 and also has been a part of R88 Studio as an assistant engineer from the very beginning. After that, the projects started lining up, and to this day, he has shown his skills in over 60 commercials, music videos, and movies.  Some of the ventures he’s most proud of are in the filmmaking industry, namely movies “Kralj Petar” (2018), “The Lawyer” (2019), “The Game” (2019), “Vreme zla” (2020), and “Zlatni dečko” (2020).

Boris Vrbanec

Piano technician

Boris is a proof that even with modern technology, the world of music cannot exist without old-world craftsmanship. He stands in front of a family company Piano Land, as a 4th generation of piano tuners and restorers. For decades, his family has been an inseparable part of musical life in Belgrade and the Balkan region. They are regularly collaborating with main cultural institutions, such as Kolarac Foundation and Belgrade Philharmonic; assist during every major music festival like BEMUS, BELEF, and Jazz Festival; and take care of the instruments in prestigious music schools across the country. Boris and his team also have exclusive certificates for servicing distinguished brands, such as Steinway & Sons, Petrof, Schimmel, Weinbach, Ant Petrof, Feurich, and Ritmuller. The list of pianists whose recommendation Boris has seems to be endless, so we’ll only mention Fazil Say, Martha Argerich, Michel Dalberto, Arcadi Volodos, Mikhail Pletnev, Boris Berezovsky, and Ivo Pogorelic….

Boris is also the founder of Steinway Concert Season in Serbia.

Miljana Popović Materni

Orchestra manager

Miljana’s musical gift was already evident at an early age and she was immediately enrolled into the School for Talented Musicians, which she finished as the best student of her generation. After graduating from the Music Academy in Belgrade in the class of Marija Špengler, she polished her skills by attending master classes under the guidance of eminent violinists, such as David Takeno, Stefan Milenković, and Gordan Nikolić. Miljana became a member of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra in 2009, as tutti first violin. She took special pride in being a concertmaster and soloist of the Strings of St. George chamber orchestra until 2021, a role that led her to perform over 300 times. Performances that will always be close to her heart are the ones in Carnegie Hall in New York, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, and Konzerthaus in Vienna.

Aleksandar Latković

String section coordinator

Music and cello took Aleksandar on a journey across the world. After finishing his master studies in Belgrade, he refined his performance with advanced training in Paris, Siena, and Brescia. Since 2003, he’s a proud member of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra as the first cello and a part of BP String Quartet. Being a visiting member of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, BandArt Orchestra, and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, got him to collaborate with acclaimed artists, such as Claudio Abbado, Daniel Harding, Pierre Boulez, Heinz Holliger, and Gordan Nikolić. Aleksandar had the privilege to give recitals and chamber music concerts in prominent concert halls, like Vredenburg in Utrecht, the Salle Cortot and the Grand Amphitheatre de la Sorbonne in Paris, and Studio France 3 in Strasbourg, in Fontainebleau. Wishing to pass on his vast knowledge, he accepted the position of a cello professor at the Music Academy of Cetinje.

Aleksandar Solunac

Wind section coordinator

A master of brass instruments, Aleksandar plays piston trumpet, rotary trumpet, piccolo trumpet, cornet, and baroque trumpet. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Belgrade in 2003. and continued his education in Oslo, under the guidance of prof. Bengt Eklund. Aleksandar crowned his master studies in a memorable performance with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, which remains one of his most cherished professional moments to this day. He’s proud to be a soloist of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, where he played under the lead of famous conductors, such as Zubin Mehta, Muhai Tang, Daniel Raiskin, and others. Some of his most notable performances are in Beethoven-Saal, Stuttgart, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Moscow, and Carnegie Hall New York.

Boris Vesović

Business Developer

Even though he doesn’t come from the world of music, Boris surely knows how to orchestrate the crew. After obtaining his degree in Management in Media, he spent two years working within complex and time-sensitive systems of video production companies in Serbia. His career took him to Dubai, where he spent six years in the art scene, as a production manager and gallery director. Working in The Lumas Gallery and The Third Line Gallery, he coordinated the activities of multiple third-party vendors and the gallery’s internal team. For every exhibition and art fair, Boris has been creating a production and logistics plan, while ensuring all activities stay within the projected budget. As a result, he has developed a global network of reliable shippers, suppliers, technicians, and production facilities. Art fairs setups he’s most proud of are Frieze London, Frieze New York, Art Basel, Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Dubai, Abu Dhabi  Art, Shanghai Art021, and FIAC.
